What Rotaline does

Six things every rotation needs, in the order a shift uses them.

Before the shift

Rotation builder

Three patterns

Daily, weekly or follow-the-sun rotations across time zones, with each handoff set in the local time of the person taking over.

Swaps and overrides

Two clicks

Request a swap in two clicks. The team lead approves it from email or chat, and everyone's schedule updates.

Calendar sync

Google, Outlook, iCal

Shifts appear in Google Calendar, Outlook or any iCal client, and move when the rota does.

During the shift

Escalation policies

Push, SMS, call

Multi-step escalation by push notification, SMS and phone call, so an alert keeps moving until someone acknowledges it.

At the shift change

Handoff notes

Every shift

A structured note at every shift change, with open incidents carried over to the next person automatically.

Fairness report

Per person

On-call hours per person, including nights and weekends, so the load stays even.

How it works

First, connect your alerts.

Connect your alerting tools with a webhook or one of 40 built-in integrations.

Then build the rotation.

Build a rotation and an escalation policy for each service.

Last, hand off in writing.

Hand off at the end of each shift. Rotaline reminds the outgoing person and notifies the incoming one.

Questions, answered

Can I import my existing schedule from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Upload a CSV or paste rows from Google Sheets or Excel, and Rotaline matches names to your team and turns the dates into shifts. You review the result before anything is saved.

What happens if nobody acknowledges an alert?

The alert moves to the next step of the escalation policy after the delay you set, by SMS, a phone call or the next person. If every step runs out, the policy starts again and the team lead is told.

Do you charge for SMS and phone calls?

No. SMS and phone alerts are included in the Team and Business price, with no per-message fees. The Free plan sends push and email alerts only.

Can contractors or people outside my company be on a rotation?

Yes. Invite anyone by email address. They count as a user on your plan, and you can limit them to the rotations and services they cover.

How does the free trial work?

You get every Team feature free for 14 days, with no credit card. At the end, choose a plan, or your workspace moves to the Free plan and keeps your first rotation.
